Happy new year to you all!!

Hi everyone!

After such a long time without any update on this blog, I'm back to wish you all a very happy new year, and all the best in 2009.
I also want to take this chance to say a few words about thedifferences between French and German people when it comes to celebrating New Year's Eve.. INdeed, I had the opportunity to celebrates with German friends, and I was quite amazed to  experince how clichees about both nationalities are accurate on this special day..
While French people would celebrate year's change enjoying a very fine and nice meal, usually involving gourmet products, wine, that is, in a world, are taking once more the chance to have a nice dinner (who says that the French are obsessed with food), German people are more interested in making noise, celebrating alltogether, not caring about how fine and delicate this evening should be. Therefore, the usual meal would be raclette, fondue, or anything that has something to do with sausages, and at 12.00 a.m., everyone would go in the street, lfiring his own fireworks and seeing them burst in the sky. Two opposite ways for celebrating..
