Yesterday, Germany was qualified for the Quarter Final of the European Football Cup.. I could hardly sleep because of the noise in the streets.. Football is a very serious issue here. They even have the official song "Wir werden Europameister" :-)
What's essential when there is a match, is that you go to a Biergarten to watch it, possibly with friends, buy a "mass" (= one liter beer), a giant bretzel, seat on a bench, and make some noise. But very friendly, always.. This is a very nice atmosphear.
This is also what we did today. We even had some tricolor necklaces.. Obviously this was not enough :-)
But if Germany goes on further, there will be some more noise :-)
