Monjul
Today, I want to share with you one of my secrets. It's called Monjul.. Not Mon Jules, no, Monjul.
It's one of the best restaurant I have been given to experience in Paris. Not only is the food absolutely divine, fresh, refined and inventive, on the verge of being a one star Michelin restaurant, but also because the price you pay is more than reasonnable for what you get.
I had noticed the restaurant randomly a few months ago, since the design of the name was quite modern and could let us expect something great. Then I had a look at the menu, and I was convinced. I had to try the restaurant. We went there to celebrate two birthdays. We had a wonderful evening
Here's a little taste of what we had (photos are bad, sorry...)
Starters:
Desserts:
- Crunch 27: chocolat-pralin croquant , sorbet Get 27, mousse au chocolat amer (chocolate-nuts bar, mint ice cream, bitter-chocolate foam )
- yahourt au Thym, crème huile d'olive et chocolat blanc, meringue aux amandes ( Thyme's yahourt, white chocolate and olive oil cream, almonds ' cake)
- Banana « Billa »: banane glacée et speculos, glace et pana cotta vanille-rhum , milkshake fraise , chocolat liquide et tuile à la fraise ( banana ice cake, vanilla and rhum ice cream and cream, strawberry milk-shake, chocalate cream and fine strawberry's cake )
The names only are magical, don't you find??And the service is nice and friendly as well... Nothing else to say but to praise this discovery in a little street in the middle of maybe the most beautiful area in Paris: le Marais
If you want to spend a very nice gastronomic evening, just run!!
