Illkahöhe - Another day in Paradise
Today was at last a sunny day. As were we in sommer...
And as it might very well be the last one for this year, we decided to take the most of it.
4 girls. 1 goal. Illkahöhe, 750 m high, with a dramatic view over the Starnberger See, and, of course, on the Alps.
Meeting point: 1 p.m. at the main station. And there we go, in the S-Bahn, direction Tutzing. Nice little chat, and hop, get off at the station. Find the way (tricky), and off we go for a 45 min walk in the woods, climbing up and up.
And then. Waow. Dramatic it was. THe green of the grass, the blue of the lake, the darkness of the mountains. Just incredible. Take some pictures, have a delicious salad prepared by Flavie, relax, enjoy. This absolutely felt like holidays, which is the amazing thing with Munich. 45 min away from city center, and you're in another wirld.
After all those emotions, we were back to civilisation, had a nice ice-cream by the lake and back home. Tired, but with amazing pictures in the head.
I was never a big walking fan, but today was so worth it. :-) A postcard like landscape. More pics to come tomorrow.. :-)
