Theater is where I belong
Still looking for a position in a theater, I lately started a new strategy, networking. And for that, Xing is a amazing tool. Anyway. this is not the point.
Meeting a new contact today gave me a extraordinary opportunity that made me realize, once more, how much the only world I feel good in is this of theaters, operas, etc.. I met the sponsoring manager of the Opera Gärtnerplatz in Munich, which is the second national Opera in Munich, with a 850 seats theatre.
First of all, it was a highly interesting chat. Because sponsoring is something that is just emerging at Gärtnerplatz, and because I have experience in that business. So we could give each other's interesting insight on how sponsoring is thought in each country, and how it is organized. The very fact that France is much more centralized than Germany makes it easier to gather money because all headquarters are in Paris. This is absolutely relevant, I would not have thought of it. I could also explain him how the whole thing is organised in Paris.
But, from a personal point of view, this was fabulous. Because he took me everywhere in the theatre. In public spaces, of course, the hall, the Foyer, and so on. But also on stage, behind the stage, in the middle of the technicians, etc. And once again, I could feel this unique atmosphear that exists only on stage, in rehearsals, in theatres. And I realized how much I had been missing it. I wanna get back there :-)
