Tanzwerkstatt Europa - Munich capital of Dance

Once again, Munich is being promoting culture, and more particularly dance. the year is organised around festivals. Dance festval, Cinema festivals; The Opernfestpiele, etc.. All huge.
As far as I knowj when it comes to dance, you have 3 main events:
The week of the Opernballett. It's more about cliassical or neo-classical dance. In April
Tanzwerkstatt Europa, for contemporary dance
And, evey other year, Dance, another festival for contemporary dance, that takes place around November. And it occurs this year.
It is by the way quite funny to realise that all organisations are embedded one into the other. The responsible for dance in Munich are mostly involved in all organisations around, either as Directors, consultant, in the boards of directors.. In the end, we have a coordinated and well organised dance life in Munich, and everyone knows everyone. It's all about networking, then :-)
So I'm very lucky to be in Munich.
Now, I am very much awaiting the Tanzwerkstatt Europa for two main reasons:
- I wanna know what of contemporary dance they do support, and want to enjoy the cultural evening I have been missing for months.
- Then, and maybe even more, because this organisation behind the festival may (and I stress this may) be my future employer. I'm excited about finding out how well I could go along with them..
But from a strict cultural point of view, I find it always very interesting to discover new choreographers. Would I advise it to new comers to dance? Maybe not. But i can't wait for it. I'll probably go tomorrow and tell you :-)
