The ones who saved a baby hedgehog
Today. 12.30 p.m. Back from the beach, outside our entrance door. We were in the car when we caught something on the road. Tiny, so tiny. But moving.. We drew closer and realized that it was a baby hedgehog, alone, exhausted, under the heavy sun, and with a broken leg.
If we let it here, no wonder it would have been crashed by a car. Not something we could have beard. So we decided to try and save it.. So cute was it. With its little nose.. But so weak. So we took it in a basin to our house. And we gave it water, and then milk.. And it drunk, the poor little one, it was totally starving.
Then we took it to a shadowy spot, where we let it enough time for it to become stronger. Which it did.. But we were a bit concerned about the sea gulls, which, would have tehy found our hedgehog, could have eat it..
After 2 hours only, our little baby felt already far better, and wanted to leave us... So we finally took it back to the woods, found a spot in the shadow, and released it, although it was so cute... And, after hesitating a litlle bit, he became a bit more brave, and walked away into the woods. Althoug it was still alone, with no mummy, and a broken leg...
Tonight, it was no more there. LEt us just hope it is ok, and could find its way in its new life... Long life to our baby hedgehog...
