Playing with my new toy

Since the beginning of the week, I have had a new toy, namely a reflex camera (the kind professionals use). I got it as a present for having worked well at school. And i think I am very lucky for that. This is by the way the most trendy thing nowadays. Everyone wants to have his/her own reflex camera, to the extend that on Fnac.com, when you go to Photo/Videos, the first section presents the reflex cameras. Which was absolutely not so a few months ago only. I would not even be surprised that in a 5 to 10 years, everyone will have a reflex camera, and, in the pocket, a small compact one. Things are developing, I guess, but it is quite ironical to see that we are back to those big and heavy cameras, as were we back to the past.
That also means that it has been a week I am playing with it, trying to understand how it works, and taking all my relatives and my environment as models for my tries. And I'm having so much fun with it. Although I'm still a very very beginner. The explanations about how to use a camera are gathered in a 100 Pages booklet... Still a few things to read, before I fully enjoy it. So far, my tries have given so-so results. But i'm improving.. ANd the results are indeed better. I can imagine that it's going to be incredibely fun when I'm no more using the automatic mode...
Above are a few pics I took with this new toy of mine...
